Thekwini TVET College invites suitably qualified and experienced Lecturer to apply for the following contract post available in Durban.
1. POST: FACILITATOR / ASSESSOR (END USER COMPUTING /TECHNICAL SUPPORT /SYSTEMS SUPPORT SKILLS PROGRAMME) PL1 X1
CONTRACT DURATION: THREE (3) MONTHS
LOCATION: SKILLS DEPARTMENT

Salary Notch: R137 877.00 per annum (Less than REQV 13)
Salary Notch: R211 098.00 per annum (REQV 13)
NB: This is a college paid post and not Persal paid
Requirements: ·Matric certificate or equivalent. ·Assessor qualification ·Be a constituency assessor with MICT SETA for Basic End User Computing NQF L3, Technical Support NQF L4, and Systems Support NQF L5. ·A recognized tertiary qualification in Information Technology/ Computer Science (REQV 13) will be an added advantage ·Minimum one (01) year working experience as an Assessor is recommended ·Advanced Computer skills Ms Office (MS Excel, MS Word & Outlook) ·Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) in the two official languages, IsiZulu and English ·Knowledge of examination and assessment policies ·Knowledge of the CAP and Coltech systems ·Leadership and management skills, good communication skills and interpersonal skills, passion for learning and teaching as well as good record keeping and administrative skills ·Ability to plan ahead and apply good time management skills ·Problem solving skills ·Organization skills to ensure effective quality teaching and learning ·Be able to make decisions on operational matters and implementation.
Key Result Areas: ·To prepare and print learning material ·Assist with enrolment, registration and induction of students ·Teaching and learning delivery ·Assessment and re-assessments ·To submit progress reports ·Build portfolio of evidence for each learner ·Upload learner results on the SETA Management system ·Submit close-out report ·Assess and evaluate student progress ·Monitor student attendance register ·Maintain student attendance and performance records ·Creating classroom environment conducive to teaching and learning ·Provide feedback to students regarding their performance and progress ·Provide progress reports ·Invigilation duties· ·Upload and manage subject content on LMS Portal.
